Coarse sanding

Repair sanding

Process of rebuilding the various layer thicknesses using suitable bodyfillers and abrasive methods. Repair sanding involves the following individual operations:

Preparatory work:

Shaping and flatting of bodyfiller:

  • Sanding to shape in manual sanding processes

Professional treatment of clear lacquers calls for perfectly coordinated sanding and polishing. Lacquer sanding involves the following individual operations:

Scuffing:

  • Sanding scratch-resistant, hard clear lacquers, damp sanding

Sanding of dust inclusions:

  • Flatting, damp sanding

Sanding of paint runs:

Removal of orange-peel effect:

Polishing

Professional polishing consists of treating a surface to produce a perfect weather and UV resistant high gloss finish. Polishing involves the following individual operations:

Removal of sanding scratches:

  • Buffing up fresh conventional lacquers using yellow polishing pad
  • Buffing up scratch-resistant and weathered lacquers using lambskin disc
  • Cleaning

Removal of holograms:

  • Removal of micro-scratches
  • Intermediate cleaning

Sealing:

  • Sealing with paint sealing paste
  • Sealing with carnauba wax
  • Final cleaning


Headlight glass repairs

Preparatory work:

  • Cleaning with microfibre cloth
  • Removal of scratches, dry sanding

Repair of acrylic glass (Plexiglass):

  • Surface refinement
  • Buffing up with lambskin disc
  • Removal of micro-scratches, polishing with black polishing pad
